At 16:30 on August 3, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake hit Ludian County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is the largest earthquake in Yunnan Province in 18 years with a focal depth of only 12 kilometers. After the earthquake, people from all walks of life in China extended a helping hand to the disaster area.
